What is event planning?
Event planning is the specialist process behind organising and delivering a structured event such as a conference, business event, corporate function or community event. There are many parts to event planning from establishing its purpose, defining the target audience, finding a venue, organising catering, marketing, integrating technology solutions right through to post-event surveys and reports.
Do I need a professional event planner?
Having an experienced and specialist event planner will ensure the most professional, efficient and cost-effective outcome for your event. Events require considerable time, resources and contacts to plan and usually involve financial risk. Event planners will relieve this pressure and ensure the job is done right and to your expectations.
How can I register? What are the registration rates
Members will receive an email with registration details in Fall of 2017, when registration opens.
Please visit the registration page for deadlines, rates, and other registration information.
Am I eligible for the member rate?
All 2017-2018 members are eligible for Annual Conference member rates.If you have a question about your membership status, please email [email protected] or call (919) 668-1928.
How do I add a workshop to my registration?
You can register for workshops on the registration form. Workshops are not included in conference registration and incur an additional fee.
Is the conference schedule available?
Details will be posted on our website as they are confirmed. A full conference schedule, including conference sessions, will be available on our website in late January.
What hotel should I stay at during the conference?
Hotel information will be sent to you with a confirmation letter. A block of rooms has been reserved at a special rate and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact the hotel directly;
What happens if there is a schedule change?
At times it might be necessary to cancel or reschedule a conference after receipt of a confirmation letter. The IIA will provide advance notice of any changes and in doing so will not be responsible for penalties related to the canceling or rescheduling of airfares, lodging, etc.​
How do I become a member of The NA?

How can my organization become a conference sponsor?

How can I receive a list of participants or attendees?
The participant list is sent to registered attendees twice: once after the early bird registration deadline, then after the regular registration deadline. A full participant list will be available at the AIEA Conference.
Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
Registration fees are refundable, less a $99 processing fee, up until January 13. No refund will be issued for cancellations starting January 14, 2018.
Registrations are transferable (within the same membership category) until January 13 with a $75 administrative transfer fee. Starting January 14, transfers will not be accepted.
